For 2026, Cromer Pier is proud to support North Norfolk Foodbank as our Charity of the Year.
North Norfolk Foodbank is part of the Trussell foodbank network and provides emergency food and practical support to people in crisis across our local area. Working closely with partners and local communities, they help ensure people get the right support when they need it most.
With seven centres across the district – in Cromer, Sheringham, Holt, Wells-next-the-Sea, North Walsham, Stalham and Aylsham – North Norfolk Foodbank covers an area of almost 300 square miles. In the last financial year alone, they fulfilled 2,012 foodbank vouchers, supporting 4,520 people across North Norfolk.
As well as providing emergency food parcels for individuals, couples and families, the foodbank also supports local schools with snack packs, operates an Energy Bank for those in desperate situations, and offers access to a dedicated Citizens Advice advisor to help people with practical guidance and information.
The charity is supported by a committed team of over 80 volunteers and relies heavily on donations from generous members of the public and local businesses to continue its vital work in the community.
Throughout 2026, Cromer Pier will be supporting North Norfolk Foodbank through a programme of fundraising activities, including events held on the pier and further afield, such as coffee mornings and donation drives.
Together, we hope to raise both funds and awareness for a charity doing essential work to support local people when they need it most.
