Our Gift To Charity

At the end of 2022, we sadly lost somebody very dear to us.  Joanna Raby fondly known as front row Jo was Cromer Pier Show’s biggest fan for over 20 years, sitting in the same seat show after show. She was always the first to jump up to give the cast a standing ovation and was a much-loved part of the pier community.

Jo was lost to cancer and we wanted to make a difference in her memory.  We began with a bucket collection during the Cromer Pier Christmas Show to make a donation to Cancer Research UK.

We were absolutely staggered that due to the generosity of our audiences, we raised a whopping £4800 within just six weeks of the season. This success inspired us to continue fundraising in Jo’s memory.

Charity of the year 2024 Nelson’s Journey

To continue our fundraising journey into 2024 we have chosen Norfolk charity Nelson’s Journey Nelson’s Journey supports children and young people in Norfolk, up to their 18^th birthday, who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life .

We visited them a few months ago and were overcome with the admirable services that the charity provides, including 1:1 support, therapeutic activity days and residential weekends, family memorial events, and valuable parent/carer groups.

Beccy Bushell from the charity said that “Our vision is that every bereaved child in Norfolk will look forward to a positive future, empowered to reach their full potential.”
