You may remember the cameras rolling in Cromer and inside our famous theatre throughout 2019, well the finished product is here.  A gorgeous, colourful cinema documentary by award-winning German filmmaker Jens Meurer (The Last Station, Rush) about Cromer and our unique end-of-pier show.

Both a love letter to Britain and a homage to old-school seaside entertainment, Seaside Special is a warm-hearted look at Britain's only remaining true variety show, far away from London, as the cast and crew, as well as the town folk of Cromer, prepare for the summer season of 2019 - the last before life was turned upside down by the pandemic; it proved to be a season like no other.

Featuring local favourite Olly Day, plus the entire 2019 Pier Show cast as you have never seen before.  On stage, backstage, off duty and many poignant high points from the season, with the Cromer Carnival a particular treat, all captured on glorious 16mm cinema film.

Enjoy this unique experience in a special one-off screening of the film on Cromer Pier in the very theatre where it was filmed, in the very town where it is set. It is a wonderful tribute to the late Paul Eastwood and John Lee.

Voluntary donations in memory of John Lee can be made on the evening.
