Amazona Zoo

A Braziliant zoo, fun to visit experience for the whole family, and just a five-minute drive from us.  The zoo is home to over 200 birds and animals from tropical South America. During your visit to his unique zoo, you will see everything from majestic jaguars to cheeky monkeys,  chatty parrots, to slithery snakes, and so much more in between. 

Brand new for this year is our aquarium and interactive “Amizone” educational area.   If the little ones fancy letting off steam, visit Jungle Tumbles for the under 12s, an exciting outdoor adventure play park with jumping pillows and a picnic area and gift shop packed to the rafters with things to take home.   We are working together with our friends at Amazona Zoo to bring you two great deals;-

 

 

RNLI Henry Blogg Museum

A family-friendly museum just along the promenade from the pier that shares the courageous history of saving lives at sea in Cromer. The first lifeboat was brought to Cromer in 1805 and the incredible volunteers have won 64 medals over the past 200 years. Henry Blogg served on the lifeboat for 53 years and is the most decorated RNLI crewmember.  Take a look at model lifeboats, and Henry Blogg’s impressive collection of memorabilia, you can also take part in activities to keep little brains active.

 

 

Karttrak Cromer

If your little ones have a need for speed? this is their thing.  Get the whole family racing around the 550m track in Karttrak’s 200cc Honda-powered karts.    The centre has karts for ages ranging from 8 years old  There is a marshal out on the track to keep any budding Lewis Hamilton’s in check so you can be sure of safety and the all-weather circuit means you can enjoy the track even during the worst of the British weather.

 

 

Royal Cromer Golf Course 

A magnificent 18 hole links golf course, ranked among the best 100 in the UK with spectacular views over the North Sea and several famous precarious cliff top holes.   Members can benefit from reduced rates on Cromer Pier Show tickets, please ask the club for details  (subject to availability)

 

 

Cromer Tennis and Squash Club

Serving since 1907, open to members and non-members.  Enjoy a plethora of racquet sports including tennis on one of ten superb grass courts, 4 all-weather courts, squash, table tennis, and pickeball.  It is the fastest-growing sport in the US and we are so proud that two Cromer tennis club members are the current european champions in mixed doubles.  Come along and see what it’s all about.    Plenty of FREE parking on site, and a super friendly clubhouse. Blue Flag Beaches

The Blue Flag is a coveted environmental award to councils that manage their coastal water environment and beaches.  North Norfolk beaches are fully accessible from the promenade, and Beach wheelchairs can be hired at both Cromer and Sheringham.  Four-legged friends are welcomed in designated areas from May to September and on any part of the beach out of season. Please check the beach signage for further details.

 

 

Deep History Coast

North Norfolk is home to the earliest evidence of humans in Britain with footsteps left by the UK’s first tourists nearly a million years ago. The UK’s biggest mammoth skeleton remains were found nearby at West Runton and a 500,000-year-old flint handaxe was discovered just along the coast in Happisburgh. You can explore the area along the Deep History Coast Discovery Trail which covers 36km of coastline, with eleven discovery points along the way.  Don’t forget to visit the Deep History Coast section in our gift shop.

Whether you’re coming for a walking holiday, a day out, or a weekend away, there’s nowhere quite like north Norfolk for walks. The changing landscape that the seasons bring makes walking through the countryside enjoyable all year round.  Enjoy the wildflowers and the famous Norfolk poppies during the Spring and Summer,  russet woodlands in the Autumn, and exhilarating brisk walks on empty beaches and tranquil paths during the Winter.

 

 

Cromer Museum

Browse the geology gallery and see an amazing collection of fossils found in Norfolk, and enjoy fascinating displays revealing why Cromer is renowned as a geological area of international importance. You can find out about the famous West Runton mammoth, Britain’s oldest and most complete mammoth fossil and marvel at a cast of the skull of a Mosasaur – a huge marine reptile common in the seas that covered Norfolk over 80 million years ago.

 

 

Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary

Just a ten-minute drive away from us, Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary offers visitors the chance to meet rescue horses, ponies, donkeys, sheep, pigs, rabbits, ducks, hens, goats, and many more beautiful animals in their safe and loving rescue home.

 

 

The Wizard Maze 

Go and explore this fabulous maize maze just three miles from Cromer.  Bounce on the jumping pillows, take a tractor train ride around the maze, whizz down the zip wire, and get to meet new additions, Michael the Pony and cute Pygmy goats… the best thing of all is that you can relax, knowing that your children are safe in an enclosed play area, and able to run free… open from 23rd July to the 4th September.
